      I suppose I’m questioning the notion of an afterlife, and, as I don’t have an answer and probably never will, thinking about being mindful as an alternative…

    I think the butterflies are luckier than we are in that they appear to exist in the ever-present now. With no concept of time, they don’t understand that they won’t survive past summer. Whereas we humans are fixated on time–it dictates our entire lives. Fantastic poem, Rachael, and very thought-provoking. I hope you had a lovely weekend.
