Thank you x
They are wonderfully creatures, though! lovely sense of motion in this one, Rachael.
I thought it would be difficult to comment on this one – but you managed it! Thank you. I adore foxes too. Beautiful creatures – but the male of the species does pong a bit 🙂
Delightful, Rachael! Whimsical and thoroughly wonderful…but then again, I always did have a thing for foxes…must be that bushy tail! 🙂
Thank you, Ron. Perhaps our image of foxes is akin to one of our alter egos…:-)
delightful and playful–love that YOU can do that with haiku. xo
Teehee. Thank you! xx
Good thing too!
I love the picture you chose to accompany this haiku! Maybe your fox had good intentions and just wanted to check and make sure the hens were comfortable in their house. 😛 A wonderful poem that made me smile, Rachael.
You are such a sweetheart to have such benevolent thoughts! But yes, your understanding of the haiku is quite close to what I intended – although I have never known a fox not to want a chicken for their dinner! But then again… 🙂
PS. How’s your heatwave? It’s been dizzyingly hot here(is that a word? doubt it) with those horrible insects we call thunder flies which crawl into picture frames and set off alarms and crawl all over your skin. Captivating 😦
It’s actually cooler than normal right now, which is wonderful. Don’t know how long the cool spell will last, though. Ugh–the thunder flies need their own haiku, I think! (And hey, I like the word dizzingly. Poetic license and all that. 😉 )
Lovely….I think this is the cutest haiku I’ve ever read, and the picture is pretty cute too 🙂
Haha! Thanks. That foxy with the leaf on his head was irresistible 🙂
