I absolutely love this one Rachael! and as dust is just BETWEEN their books, and you don”t say they are dust covered, I’m Sure Camus and Chaucer would like it too 🙂
I find the idea of this “dusty empty space” between books extremely poetical… thank you! have a nice 15th of August weekend 🙂
Haa! Thanks ‘Frederic en vacance’…I think C and C would like it too. I wonder if they would have liked one another?
You have a pleasant weekend too. In England it rains rather deliciously and feels like autumn…
‘The gap between our desires and our lives.’
Very poignant, Rachael.
P.S. You can have that line as a gift!!!
Take care, Chris.
I won’t have to steal it then! This may be a multi-tasking haiku 🙂
Big smiles all round!
Hi please check out my poem it would mean so much to me x http://wp.me/s4V2SR-blue
That’s a lovely poem. Keep writing and writing and writing XXX
Thank you very much!
Justg wonderful. (And thank goodness we both come AFTER Camus!)
Thanks, Bruce. It could have been worse. Could have used Nietzsche or Kant… 🙂
Classic haiku! Lovely conception carried through with deft strokes and delicacy. I’m a believer! 🙂
Heh. Thanks for this charmer…clever and deep and playful. How do you do it (the writing not the non-dusting :))? xo
Haa. The non-dusting’s easy, the haiku are getting harder… :-))
This one gave me a chuckle. It truly captures the essence of haiku, and some Zen perspective as well.
Teehee! Bafflement rules 🙂
Thank you. Loving your poems so I’ll follow you awhile…:-)
