You really are the mistress of the metaphor.
Thank you, Mike 🙂
It is the purest Rachael’s style – and I just love it!!! Have a nice week-end 🙂
Thank you, Frederic. May the sun shine on you 🙂
That’s beautiful ❤🌷❤
Thank you. So nice you’re here ❤ ❤
Thank you for making my day!
Beautiful. Love that you are inspired by fog. I also like the notion of becoming an island, even if for only a little while.
Thank you, Dan. I’ve lived in this valley for so long, fog and mist really shape the mood of the landscape. Have a good weekend.
Mysterious and haunting! Brilliant, dear Rachael! ❤
Thank you, Ron! May the sun shine on you for a few more weeks! xx
This is perfect, Rachael.
Thank you, Laine. I wasn’t sure about this one at all. You really never can tell ❤
I had the feeling of waking up and reaching for a lover. It has that dreamy quality that’s open to many interpretations. I’m glad you shared it.
Thoughtful, dreamlike and very beautiful, Rachael.
Thank you, Chris. Mists and foggy places always set the writing hand in motion 🙂
Excellent linkage between the first and third lines here, Rachael. Things are not always what they appear to be in that morning mist, are they?
No things are not. I find it quite hard to keep the haiku simple and flowing, yet to introduce a complexity, an ambiguity…
But I expect longer poems are even harder… 🙂
Enjoy your weekend.
Thank you for taking the time to comment. Much appreciated 🙂
‘he becomes an island’ 🙂 such a beautiful metaphor Rachael
Thank you 🙂
