The Kintsugi Girl

On It Being A Very Blustery Day

Leaves and litter swirl,
tiny unsuspecting birds
waltz by. I dance too.

Was a stormy day today, dark grey skies, horizontal rain, but still beautiful to watch the wind at work from the safety and warmth of my living room. Saw the leaves dance past outside. I had the radio on and danced too, in the kitchen, taken back by a tune to the days when anything and everything was possible.

When I wrote today’s Haiku, inspired by the prompt from Carpe Diem and a wonderful picture of dancing leaves,  it reminded me of the scene above in American Beauty. Such gorgeous music and images.
