Ha, thud is a good word. Our snow is being driven by 30mph winds from the north.
Not so nice, Dan.
The surprise of thudding snowflakes opens my mind to the possibility of it being “comforting”….ah, yes, perhaps strangely so. Thank you for the refreshment. xo
Hmm. Thank you for your sweet comment 🙂 I think with the present weather in your neck of the woods the idea of thudding snow being somehow comforting is utterly way out!!! The truth is, without the knowledge of the childhood memory which drove this haiku, this is a probably thoroughly weird poem…xxx
