I love the sense of expectation that you have evoked here, Rachael: the prospect of a long journey, the dreamed of arrival of a lover, a chance encounter. My head is buzzing!
I like that interpretation, Chris. It was intended to evoke endless possibilities. 🙂
The photo coupled with the fright of the sound combined to spook me out!
It might be scary in the middle of the night with a full moon and a couple of owls twit twooing – but yesterday it was perfectly benign. I nearly dozed off in the hedge…
Hmmmm…feels to me like the springboard to a compelling short story :). Or perhaps metaphor for your own latest chapter….Regardless, agree with Chris–love the breathless sense of expectation, as well as mystery, adventure, possibility. Avanti! xxo
Err … definitely a story there. Have to get my fingers away from the loom and into writing it. Not. Weaving is compelling and so Zen like. I’m hooked 🙂
