It’s amazing how long they can stand motionless.
I love the fact that they often appear to be barely here. Like owls, I suppose – like apparitions 🙂
I once found a heron skeleton. It was almost hollow with dozens of cavities like a sponge. I brought it home. Bit smelly though 🙂

🙂 Great image, they do have that aspect to them and I’m always pleased and surprised when I come across one.
Me too. They are common around here, but I never tire of them 🙂
