A sad one
Indeed… thank you, Derrick.
It sounds sad, true, and initially, is so — unless you think of the extreme drought we’ve endure here in the SE US for months, but have only just last week finally seen a Real and Proper Storm… I have to wonder if this is a more metaphorical poem than it seems? 😆
So pleased the rain came for you at last… and I love how the haiku can be interpreted by others in ways I hadn’t thought of 🙂
I love the melancholy of the rain and it fits perfectly with the image of being alone.
Thank you for that. Interesting what sonofthemountains thought with reference to the end of the long drought!
