I was obviously reading something dark into this at first – shades of Mrs Haversham – but then I realised she was smiling…
It’s interesting that you initially read darkness into this haiku – this was absolutely my intention and goes to show how versatile this form can be I suppose 🙂
The idea was the first person narrator knew something the receiver of the blooms did not…
But still beautiful …
